In
Transit™ is a comprehensive solution enabling the collection, inventory, management, and distribution of quality–controlled healthcare transactions.
The right tool for the right job. InTransit™ is designed for healthcare transaction processors to facilitate a controlled environment between high volume trading partners, such as health plans, managed care companies, clearinghouses, delegated healthcare groups, and other transaction intermediaries.
InTransit™, release 1.8, is currently available as a service (IT-Online™) and offers customers quality, reliability, and flexibility over transaction formats, edit and validation settings, and distribution methods and timetables.
In
Transit™ integrates with and is complementary to existing processing applications and routines through published specifications. During 2002, InTransit™, release 2.0 will also be available on a license basis hosted remotely (IT-Host™) at our customers’ processing sites.
All the advantages, no disadvantages.
InTransit™ has many advantages over other solutions that were not designed specifically for this environment. There is no expensive operating platform, no specific technical resources, no extensive training, no performance issues at high volumes, and no invasive requirements to the internal systems and procedures at our customers or at their trading partners. Since 2001, millions of transactions have been collected, inventoried, quality–controlled, managed, and distributed using InTransit™.
Customer control and management.
InTransit™ facilitates efficient and effective control of transactions received from many sources set for distribution to many internal systems and/or external trading partners. With InTransit™, our customers’ internal production departments control transaction volumes, thereby managing the length of processing cycles. Additionally, customers know the exact transaction inventory and are able to select for distribution the most business–critical transactions based on age, source, or value.
Comprehensive features and functions.
InTransit™, release 1.8, enhances our customers’ internal transaction control processes.
Knowledge is power. Power is control. Utilizing InTransit™, our customers can easily determine: when transactions arrived; where the transactions originated; the specific package (file) that contained the transactions; the value of an individual transaction; the value of a specific package; and, the status of individual transactions and/or specific packages.
InTransit™ determines transaction status based on: source; inventory date and time stamp; quality (flawed or error free); and, inventory distribution (i.e., has a distributed transaction or package been accepted, rejected, or pended).InTransit™ creates inventory aging reports based on current transaction inventory defined by source or in the aggregate for transactions received from a source or staged for a specific destination.
Flexibility to set business priorities. InTransit™ empowers our customers with the flexibility to distribute transactions from inventory based on various methodologies (FIFO – first in, first out or LIFO – last in, first out). Each distribution request can be based on a specified number of transactions (from zero to all) or set to a default value which can be drawn from the entire inventory (across all trading partners) or from a specified source.
More power and flexibility in release 2.0. In addition to the features and functions of release 1.8, release 2.0 will also be available on a license basis (IT-Host™).
Enhanced process and security controls. With InTransit™, release 2.0, our customers will be able to control and set: functionality privileges for individual users; access to transaction–related data received from specified sources or trading partners; and, access to transaction–related data staged for a specified destination or trading partner.
Inbound and outbound HIPAA compliance. In addition to fixed length file formats, such as NSF or proprietary (included in release 1.8), release 2.0 will incorporate the ANSI 837 (variable length) transaction format.
